Having an Implant Placed Following an Extraction

At Chapel Dental, our goal is that you shouldn’t have to lose a tooth. However, sometimes the inevitable happens, and there is no other choice, and the tooth has to come out.

How would this make you feel? How would it make you think if you had to lose another tooth and have a more significant gap? Would it stop you from enjoying your favourite foods?

Dental implants are proven to be the best tooth replacement method

Dental implants are an excellent replacement option. Your bone holds it. This makes it strong, robust, comfortable, and reliable.

What’s the procedure like?

Placing an implant and crown is relatively painless; the only problem is needing 4 appointments. Learn more.

Not just for single gaps but full mouth rehabilitation too

It’s not only small gaps that implants are used for; at Chapel Dental, we frequently place implants on people who wear dentures, allowing them to throw away their dentures and be secure that their teeth never have to come out.

Choose to eat better and live life without restrictions

A statement I get told a lot by patients is “I’m too old for dentures” or “I would do it if I were younger”.

Well, there is no upper age restriction with placing implants. Also, how would it feel to have 10 – 15 years of never having to wear your denture again? It is to have something fixed in your mouth, to enjoy your food without the denture moving around in your mouth and food getting trapped underneath it, irritating.

Dental case study

One patient we treated wore an upper denture that replaced nearly all her upper teeth. She was in her early seventies, and neither her husband nor her children had seen her without her denture. She fears that if she was ever hospitalised, they would take her denture out, and her family would see her without teeth. This fear did not ever need to become a reality. Implants were placed in her upper jaw, and a bridge was fixed in place. This lady now had security for the first time in her life.

How much do dental implants cost?

Dental implants are an investment, but this investment is worth the value for many of our patients. Implants can have a 93-95% success rate over 15 years, making it one of dentistry’s longest-lasting treatments.
