Whiten, brighten and lighten your smile

Whitening your smile

Local Cosmetic Dentists

It is no secret that most people want pearly white teeth. Unfortunately, our teeth darken as we age, making our smile look more aged.

Too much red wine, coffee and tea can also cause our teeth to stain.

Whether you want your teeth to look their natural whitest or want a Hollywood smile, we will cater to your needs.

As colour is subjective, we will analyse your current shade and discuss your desired outcome.

How to Whiten Your Teeth

No Drilling, No Anaesthesia, No Injections

Would you like to walk into a room or any social event, feel confident and proud, and wow everyone with your natural dazzling smile?  Would this make you feel good?  Would it make you feel happy?

There are two ways that we can do this, and at Chapel Dental, we are experts in both; all you must decide is what way works best for you!

This is a simple method to remove any external stains caused by food and drink. It will also help to keep your teeth and gums healthy.

  • Advantages: It is simple and effective. You are in total control. Every night, you place a whitening gel into a bespoke tray made exactly to the dimensions of your mouth.  Within 3 weeks, you will have a beautiful, natural, white smile.
  • Disadvantages: While your smile will appear whiter and fresher, it limits how white we can achieve.  It won’t change the shape of your teeth.

Tooth whitening is an incredibly safe and effective treatment option, often providing the best results. It gives the most natural look by whitening your teeth a few shades.

We use peroxide gel in bespoke custom-made trays that you can wear during the day for a few hours or at night.

The trays can be kept safe and used to top up your whitening later (although if years have passed or new dentistry has been done, it’s also best to bring the trays in to ensure the fit is still adequate).

  • Advantages: The beauty of veneers is that, as well as whitening your smile, we can change the shape and correct any mild crookedness.  This process can create a truly dazzling smile.  You can change as little as 2 teeth right up to 10 or 20.
  • Disadvantages: This process will take at least 3 appointments as we strive to get the best result possible for you.  We hope you can try out your new smile before we begin treatment.

In some cases, we may advise veneers to achieve the desired result.

This is for issues where the teeth are severely discoloured, such as tetracycline staining, where a childhood antibiotic has changed the natural colour of the teeth, in cases of severe fluorosis, where there are white and brown strips on the teeth, or you may want your teeth a certain to look a particular type of white.

Our expert dentists can provide advice and insight and create a bespoke plan suitable for you.

What if I have sensitive teeth?

Whitening can still be performed, and we will ensure you have the suitable gel.

We can also provide tips and tricks to help against any sensitivity you might incur.
