What do family dental practices offer?
Are you looking to switch practices or considering a family dentist? Do you need comprehensive dental care, such as orthodontics, general hygiene, and oral health services, to fulfil your family’s needs?
At Chapel Dental in High Wycombe, we offer private dentistry for families and adults, whether for a check-up, an implant, or a tooth extraction. So, no matter your age or stage of your oral development, we have treatments to cater to your needs.
We are a family-run dental practice, so we know first-hand the importance of caring for your family.
To help you choose the right dentist, we’ll discuss what you should expect from us, including our services, the key benefits of family dental care, and how we differ from general dentists.
What is family dental care?
- Family dental care is a dentist that can treat patients of all ages, therefore being able to help your whole family in one place.
- Due to the varying ages within a family, each member has varying dental requirements. Here at Chapel Dental, we can treat each member according to their age and specific needs with unique treatment plans at one location in Wycombe.
How is Chapel Dental different to a general dentist?
The terms general dentist and family dentist are frequently used interchangeably. However, there are some subtle differences that you should be aware of.
Both general and family dentists have extensive training in several fields of dentistry. Both hold undergraduate degrees and have undergone extensive schooling, so they are exceptionally well-trained in their industry.
However, the most notable difference is that some general dentists have an age cap. In contrast, family dentists treat all patients of all ages (and even let children under certain ages go free). For example, our Buckinghamshire practice offers free children’s exams between (0-7) if the parent is registered. Register as a patient.
